New Employees Join the CWC Agronomy Team
Bryan Parr joined the
Central Wisconsin
Cooperative Agronomy
team in July as a Sales
Agronomist. He was
born and raised on his
family’s third generation
dairy farm in LaFarge, WI. He gained many
valuable experiences on the farm while aiding
in the transition from non-organic to an
organic farm 10 years ago.
Bryan attended LaFarge High School
where he took part in the football and
baseball programs. He was also involved the
high school band and continues to play the
drums in his spare time. After high school
Parr received his B.S. degree in Soil and
Crop Science from the University of
Wisconsin-Platteville, and interned at Maize
Breeding Research in Janesville, WI where he
maintained corn breeding, test plots and
recorded field data.
Bryan has enjoyed meeting with CWC’s
patrons and is looking forward to serving
your agronomic needs.
Greta Skalitzky joined
the Cenral Wisconsin
Cooperative Agronomy
team in February as an
office assistant. She
was born and lived in
Iowa until her family
moved to southern Wisconsin when she was
a young child. She graduated from Marshall
High School and attended collage at UWWhitewater.
Greta and her husband lived in
the Madison area where they were hog and
cash crop farmers for 12 years. She also had
worked for two area vet clinics while in the
Madison area. Greta comes with 9 years of
cooperative experience, being a former
employee of Landmark Cooperative in
Cottage Grove, WI in the Energy division.
She and husband Jim moved to the
Greenwood area 2 years ago from Sun Prairie
for a more spacious area for their horse farm.
She loves spending time there with her
husband, horses, dogs, cats, and chickens.
She also enjoys canning, cooking and baking.
Greta has three children, a daughter age 29
who is a nurse, two sons ages 25 and 22.
One is a John Deere mechanic, the other a
grad student a UW-Milwaukee.
Jerry Trachte joined
Central Wisconsin
Cooperatives
Agronomy team in
April as a Sales
Agronomist at our
Auburndale location.
Jerry, a native to the area, grew up on a dairy
farm south of Marshfield, and attended the
University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point where
he earned his B.S. degree in Resource
Management with Soils Efficiency.
Trachte brings many experiences in his
field. He is a National/State certified Crop
Advisor; he was president of Midland Coop’s
Agriculture Group in region 1, and was
a district sales manager for Old’s Seed
Company out of Madison. For 8 years Jerry
helped develop field agronomist programs for
Land O’Lakes-Midland. Before joining the
CWC team, Trachte was employed at Olsen’s
Crop Service for 13 years.
Jerry and his wife have been married for 37
years and currently reside in the Plover area.
They have one daughter and three
granddaughters that live in the Mosinee area.
In his spare time Jerry likes to hunt, fish and
enjoys the warmer weather.
